Independence Day Poems

Let’s celebrate freedoms,
‘Cause you and I need ‘em.
Our unalienable rights,
For all days and all nights.

But enough proclamations.
This is a show-me nation.
Put my words into action,
For patriotic satisfaction.

So let it now commence.
I assert my independence.
Live like I’m truly free.
Party hard, with some tea!

Independence from my duties.
Independence from my job.
Livin’ in the streets.
Independence from the law.

Independence from looks.
Independence from showers.
No electric current.
Independence from power.

Independence from the feds.
Independence from taxes.
Movin’ to Montana,
Independence with some axes.

Independence from food.
Independence from drink.
Get rid of all my feelings.
Independence from think.

Independence from my kids.
Independence from my wife.
And banish self-control.
Independence from my life!

FREEDOM!
